OPINION
The rhetoric of democratic socialism is just that, spin to enhance the appeal of socialism. Is there democratic murder or democratic theft? No, murder is murder and theft is theft. Socialism is socialism.
Saying that Bernie would not attempt to use the military to enact his socialism on the country is naive. The democrats have already weaponized the FBI, IRS, and EPA to attack and imprison American citizens. Their past is an example of what they will do in the future. You can give them the benefit of the doubt, I won’t.
Socialism and Communism share one goal, to create a totalitarian state. That’s the cold hard truth.
Take it from the head Bolshevik himself Vladimir Lenin who said, the goal of socialism is communism.
Take a look at Venezuela. Their socialist government was ushered in via a democratic vote. I’m sure they weren’t anticipating the demise of their once prosperous nation when they headed to the ballot box.
Not to mention, socialism is anti-American. It goes against everything America stands for by; promoting government takeover of every aspect of our lives, creating an uninspired populous who is dependent on government welfare, and ultimately the death of its citizens.
The world has witnessed the horrors and failures of socialism. America will not repeat them.
