U.S. Embassy reopens in Cuba, Castro says we owe Cuba millions

Today we are reopening the U.S. Embassy in Cuba. Fidel Castro has manipulated the event to occur during the week of his 89th birthday. Is the celebration is purely a coincidence?

President Obama’s administration sent U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to attend the ceremony. This will be the first time in more than 50 years the current U.S. Secretary of State will visit Cuba. Politicians smile for the cameras and supporters cheer during the event.

Meanwhile, the propaganda machine is working overtime in Cuba. Castro authors a column in the Cuban newspaper Granma. In the article Castro states, “Cuba is owed compensation, the equivalent of damages, amounting to many, many millions of dollars, as our country has reported and irrefutably documented at the United Nations.” Read the article for yourself here.

The saying “You can judge a man by the company he keeps,” is a bit chilling at the moment. Iran and Cuba are not examples of fair and democratically elected governments, yet we are in negotiations with both. Those two countries are friends with Russia and Venezuela, the list goes on.
