Close to a hundred Michigan State University students and Black Lives Matter activists filled the halls and blocked access to an event where former president Bill Clinton was scheduled to speak on Wednesday.
In another example of “The Mizzou Effect” of increased college disruptions caused by administrators at the University of Missouri caving to black activist’s demands last week, the Michigan protesters demanded a range of multicultural programs be added at MSU, including a center and “a college of race, class and gender studies.”
Protesters created what they called a “human barricade” after a strident march through the building.
