Crusaders Valor For Veterans Founder and CEO Tracey Nazarenus started the 501c3 after her son returned from Afghanistan, and attempted to take his life. A “Cowgirl” at heart, Tracey decided to take action and help our Veterans.

Since it’s inception, Valor For Veterans has been assisting Veterans in need across the United States.

AN INTERVIEW WITH VALOR FOR VETERANS FOUNDER TRACEY NAZARENUS

Crusaders Valor For Veterans is a remarkable organization, and we thank you for what you do for our veterans. Tell our readers a little about what the organization does, and hat inspired you to create Crusaders Valor For Veterans.

I was inspired to start Crusaders Valor For Veterans because my son served in Afghanistan he came back and in 2014 attempted to take his life.

I was given a second chance and decided I could do something about it that’s where ValorforVeterans started.

From your biography, religion is obviously an integral part of your life and the organization. Does God guide, or motivate you as you continue to grow?

God guides my every moment I pray every night that he guides my heart my soul my gut regarding Valor For Veterans and how we move forward. God also blesses my family and I believe. He is my light ,

You have a program ‘Crusaders Rodeo Royalty’. Tell us a little about it.

The program started with a bunch of teenage Cowgirl‘s deciding to make a difference in this world helping Veterans. we do things from fundraising helping Veterans with food utilities and rent. and spending time with them with the horses , their lives aren’t easy, yet as a team we make a difference because we’re the “Valor squad”

There are a number of Crusaders chapters across the United States. What do they do for Crusaders Valor For Veterans, and how Americans can get involved with a chapter close to them?

We have many chapters because we do food rent utilities across this country and everybody participates anyone that wants to get involved in helping veterans con reach out to me . we are blessed to have people that care about our veterans, they served us and now it’s our turn.

What advice do you give to families who find themselves lost when trying to help family members who are returning Veterans.

If you have a military person returning you need to sign them up for everything the VA offers whether they want to or not get their card their medical stuff have them checked out for benefits ! Do it all ASAP when they return from service. please 🙏. It could save them someday in the future when it all hits them.

You own and run the ‘Second Chance Ranch’ and use horses to help veterans with PTSD. What impact do horses have on veterans with PTSD?

Horses have their own magic we work with them everyday. we train them so that when veterans and their families visit the horses can help them find peace it’s magical to watch.
