A major part of Cruz’s appeal to the American voters are his beliefs in what America should stand for in the world. We are a nation of law and order. An unsecured border provides neither security or rule of law. A foreign citizen entering the country illegally to have a child on American soil creates nothing more than anarchy.
Cruz is one of the Republican candidates speaking out on the “Anchor Baby” issue. Recently as a guest on the Michael Medved Show Ted Cruz stated, “We should end granting automatic birthright citizenship to the children of those who are here illegally.”
Cruz is known for his stance on the issue. Later in the interview he said, “That has been my position from my very first days of my running for the Senate,” he continued. “I welcome Donald Trump articulating this this view. It’s a view I have long held.”
